Our own coach, Mr Joe Brincat was one of four former Malta national team players who were presented with a commemorative cap and medal as part of a special award by UEFA for all European national team players who have reached the 100-cap mark. The presentation was held before the EURO 2012 qualifier between Malta and Israel.

The other players were Gilbert Agius, David Carabott and Carmel Busuttil. David Carabott played 122 matches, followed by Gilbert Agius on 119, Carmel Busuttil on 113 and Joe Brincat on 103.
